Based in the Wiltshire market town of Melksham, we are well-known throughout the immediate and wider community, with a strong local presence and reputation for friendliness and professionalism.

On 1st February 2020, we were acquired by Melville Burbage Insurance Services, a highly renowned firm of independent insurance brokers based in Newbury, giving us access to an even greater range of specialisation and capabilities, especially within the fields of construction, technology & life science and social welfare.
Thanks to Melville Burbage, we now have even greater buying power, enabling us to secure the widest cover at a highly competitive price, whilst still retaining our identity, location and staff, ensuring we continue to provide customers with the local, friendly service they have come to expect over the years.

Our Team
Andrew is a real local, having lived in Melksham his whole life, as have at least three generations of his family. He has been involved in insurance since 1979, when he first joined the company as an office junior, gradually working his way up to director level.
Today, Andrew controls the business, managing accounts as well as carrying out frontline duties, dealing with both commercial and personal clients, the majority of whom he has known for many years. With strong links to the local community, Andrew is a director of Melksham Town Football Club, and is actively involved with Melksham Rugby Club and Swimming Club. The company also supports local charities, such as Dorothy House, and sponsors local events, including Bromham Carnival and the various town fetes. Married with two children, Andrew enjoys playing golf in his spare time.
With more than 36 years’ experience working within the insurance brokerage business, Vanessa is extremely knowledgeable and able to advise clients on the best solution for their requirements. As Personal Lines Manager, she oversees home, motor, caravan and travel insurance and prides herself on providing the highest levels of personal service. With a large proportion of clients calling in to discuss their insurance face to face, her friendly, efficient manner is much appreciated!
Vanessa stresses how important it is to listen to clients in order to provide the correct level of insurance tailored to their specific needs, whether at the quotation or renewal stage, She counts herself as extremely lucky being able to work in such a nice location as Melksham and when she’s not at work she loves following formula 1 motor racing, walking her dog and going away in her caravan.
Emma hugely enjoys her role of Insurance Advisor and has worked at Melksham Insurance Brokers since August 2015. Her duties include making sure renewals are out on time, arranging quotations and generally ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Having previously worked in a Call Centre, she finds working at Melksham much friendlier and particularly appreciates the face-to-face contact with clients. Emma describes herself as personable, organised and able to deal with people on all levels, ensuring she provides an exceptional level of personal service. Out of work, Emma enjoys horse riding and socialising with friends.
Layla has worked for Melksham Insurance Brokers since November 2016, having worked within the brokering sector for some twelve years. She particularly enjoys working at Melksham as she finds it busy and friendly, with customers continually calling in to discuss their insurance requirements. As an Insurance Advisor, her responsibilities involve looking after the day-to-day requirements of clients, which includes handling renewals, quotations, new business and general administration. Whether working face to face, or via email, post or telephone, she enjoys all aspects of the job and works hard to ensure clients are always happy. When not working, Layla likes running, socialising, looks after her young daughter and taking family holidays.
